How to Measure
Step 1. Determine Width.
Begin by measuring the distance between the drip molding of the roof.
Use this number to determine the width of the DEK that best fits.
47" Wide DEK – Narrower roofs
54" Wide DEK – Wider roofs
Your DEK width should fit within your roof width—not overhang.
Step 2. Determine overall length.
Hatchback vehicles: Open the hatch fully and measure from the windshield to the open hatch
Non-hatch vehicles: Measure from the windshield to the rear edge of the roof
Use this measurement to choose your DEK length.
Once you’ve selected your width (Step 1), your length options are:
47" Wide DEK: 50" or 60"
54" Wide DEK: 61", 71", or 81"
Pick a DEK length that:
- Fits within your usable roof space
- Does not interfere with hatch operation
Tip: If you’re between sizes, go with the shorter option for better clearance and usability.
Step 3. Confirm Crossbar Compatibility.
Measure the maximum space between your crossbars (front to back).
If your crossbars are adjustable, start by extending them to their widest usable position before measuring.
Compare your measurement to the maximum crossbar spread listed in the product dimensions guide. Aim to get your crossbar spacing as close as possible to the maximum supported spread for the best stability.
