Code Of Conduct

Sustainability Code of Conduct

Kuat’s Code of Conduct (COC) has been created to promote fair and safe working conditions, safeguard human rights, and support a responsible approach to environmental matters. Guided by the Fair Labor Association, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), our COC is the foundation of the work we do at Kuat.

Kuat will comply with laws and regulations in all locations where we conduct business

Prohibition of Forced Labor

There shall be no use of forced labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, human trafficking, slavery or other forms of forced labor. Kuat will only cooperate with third parties that ensure compliance with this and will not contract or purchase materials from business partners using any type of forced or bonded labor.

Prohibition of Child Labor

Kuat will not hire any employee under the age of 16. If the legal age for employment is higher than 16, then the higher age shall apply. In the case of hazardous work, the minimum age is 18.

Prohibition of Harassment or Abuse

Every Kuat employee shall be treated with respect and dignity. No employee shall be subject to any physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.

The aforementioned will also apply to suppliers, sub-contractors or any other business relationships where abuse and harassment are tolerated: Kuat will not engage in business with such entities that allow such behavior.

Compensation and Benefits

All overtime work shall be consensual.

Kuat will not engage in businesses or with suppliers that do not apply the same principles as we do regarding work hours.

Prohibition of Discrimination

Kuat employees will be hired, paid, promoted and terminated on the basis of their ability to do the job, rather than on the basis of personal characteristics or beliefs.
