The Kuat Pivot v2 swing-away hitch accessory ensures that your bike rack never gets in the way of your back hatch, rear doors, or tailgates. With a quick-release lever, you can safely swing your bike rack out to 90 degrees and up to 120 degrees.

Description

Available with an optional driver-side swing out or passenger-side swing out with a maximum weight limit of 250 pounds. The Pivot v2 is compatible with most of our dedicated 2" rack models and weighs just 39 lbs.

Our patented FlatLock™ hitch cam removes any wobble and makes sure your rack only moves when you want it to. The included locking hitch pin makes sure your swing out and your bike rack stay securely locked to your vehicle.

And, like all our products, the Pivot v2 swing-away hitch bike rack accessory is covered by our No Worries Limited Warranty. So we’ve got your rack and your back.

Note: The Pivot v2 swing away is not recommended for use with RVs and requires a Class III hitch receiver. Do not attach a vertical or hanging-style bike rack to a swing-away hitch accessory.

1 Must be a chassis mounted hitch receiver. Must be less than 64” distance from the center of the rear axle to the center of the hitch pin hole.

Always check the User Guide and specifications for any change in weight capacity dependent on use. Hitch extenders and adapters should not be used when mounting the rack to an RV. Please refer to Kuat’s RV & Off-road Limitations for more information.

Pivot v2 FAQ

Is there a 1.25” hitch size model for the Pivot v2?

No, the Pivot v2 is only available in a dedicated 2” hitch size.
Will the Pivot v2 swing out in either direction?

You will have to decide at the time of purchase which direction you would like your Pivot v2 to swing towards: the driver's side or the passenger side. These are individual models.
Can I use the Pivot v2 with other hitch extensions, such as the Hi-Lo Pro?

No. We do not recommend using the Pivot v2 with any other hitch extender like our Hi-Lo Pro. Please only use one extension at a time.
Can I use a basket rack on my Pivot v2?

Sure, as long as you are within the weight capacity of 250 lbs. We also recommend contacting the manufacturer of your cargo rack to ensure there are no issues on their end.
Is the Pivot v2 RV rated?

No, the Pivot v2 swing-away is not recommended for use with RVs.
Can I use a vertical hanging rack on my Pivot v2?

No! We do not recommend this, and doing so will void your Kuat warranty.
Can I use the Pivot v2 on a Class I hitch?

The Pivot v2 is not rated for a Class I or Class II hitch. The Pivot v2 requires a Class III hitch.

How much further will the Pivot v2 position my rack away from the back of my vehicle?

The Pivot v2 will extend the rack out roughly 12". Our website has specific product dimensions that will help you determine this.
