Description

The Piston SR is one of the most versatile racks we make. By utilizing our Piston SR Hitch Adapter, you can transform this roof rack into a burly hitch rack that will hold heavy e-bikes up to 100 pounds and is approved for RV use with RVs that have chassis-mounted hitch receivers (weight limit decreases to 67 pounds with RV use).

We also make a Piston SR Mount for use on our IBEX truck bed rack, enabling you to carry your bike or e-bike on the side of your truck, keeping your hitch free.

And, with our Piston SR 2” Round Bar Mounts, you can rock the Piston SR roof rack on the back of your van, man.

These and many other features culminate in a bike rack for your roof designed, built, and tested to push the envelope and provide you with peace of mind, and lasting value.

Is there a 1.25” hitch size model?

No, we only offer this product in a dedicated 2” hitch size.
Can I remove the Piston SR from the hitch adapter and use it on my vehicle's roof?

Yes. Your Piston SR rack will have the mounts and hardware necessary to mount it on your vehicle’s crossbars. Please note that the weight capacity will decrease from 100 lbs to 67 lbs when you use the Piston SR on your roof.
Is the Piston SR Hitch Rack expandable to accommodate a second bike?

No.
Can I use the HiLo Pro or Pivot v2 with the Piston SR Hitch Rack?

Sure. The Piston SR Hitch Rack can be used with our Hi-Lo Pro or Pivot v2. Just not on an RV.

Is the Piston SR Hitch Rack RV-rated?

Yes, with a 67 lbs weight limit.
Can I use the Piston Bike Ramp with this product?

Definitely. The Piston Bike Ramp can be used with the Piston SR Hitch Rack. You’ll find additional instructions in the hitch adapter user guide.
I see that the Piston SR Hitch Adapter comes with a locking hitch pin. Will the key code for the hitch lock match the cable lock key code on the Piston SR rack?

The two codes will not always match. If the locks do not match and you do not want to use two separate sets of keys, call our Customer Service team, and we can help!
