The Kuat Rack Dock is the perfect solution for storing your rack when it's not in use. This wall-mounted storage system keeps your rack secure and out of the way while protecting it from damage.

Not quite. We do not recommend using aftermarket hitch adapters to change the hitch size of your vehicle. It’s better to adapt your rack to your hitch, rather than the other way around. In most cases, we can make a 1.25" rack fit a 2" or 2.5" hitch receiver, but you cannot make a 2" rack fit a 1.25" hitch receiver with any adapter.

Kuat bike racks are compatible with most standard bikes, including mountain bikes, road bikes, fat bikes, and some e-bikes. However, certain models may have limitations based on tire size, frame style, or fenders. We offer accessories to help accommodate most bikes, such as the U-bar, Strap Extender Kit, and Fender Strap Kit. For the Sherpa 2.0, we’ve designed a 3” Tray Extension for further compatibility.*



*Always check rack specifications for weight capacity, wheelbase length, tire width, and fender compatibility to ensure proper bike fit.

Kuat racks are designed to fit 1.25" or 2” hitch receivers, which are the most common sizes for many vehicles. The hitch size you need depends on your vehicle’s existing hitch receiver. If you don’t have a hitch, we recommend consulting with your vehicle manufacturer to discuss options. If you have a 2.5" hitch receiver, consider the 2.5” to 2” Hitch Adapter.

Kuat racks are engineered to be compatible with most vehicles, whether you're using a roof crossbar system or your vehicle's hitch receiver. While we cannot confirm compatibility with every make and model, we design our racks with versatility in mind to ensure a secure fit across a wide range of vehicles.

Hitch Rack Add-Ons are designed to integrate seamlessly with select 2” hitch rack models*, allowing you to expand your rack’s capacity. Using add-ons will reduce the rack's weight capacity. Check your rack’s user guide or specification for specific compatibility and weight details.

*The Sherpa 2.0 and all 1.25" racks are not compatible with add-ons.
