The adjustable telescoping crossbars and numerous T-channels accommodate a wide array of bespoke accessories, including mounting hardware for some Retrax, EGR, and other retractable tonneau covers.
All IBEX racks include hardware to mount on most trucks on the market, including J-hook mounts for trucks without T-channels or T-channels mounts for trucks equipped with T-channels. T-channel mounting kit works on the following trucks:

How easy is installing the Kuat IBEX on my truck?
The IBEX is designed for easy installation. No drilling is required, and all mounting hardware and tools are included in the box. Our detailed installation guide can be found here if you want to check it out. Please also refer to our handy installation video for a step-by-step visual aid of the process.
I see that the IBEX is shown in a full-height and mid-height configuration. If I purchase the IBEX, will I be able to do either of these or do I need a separate IBEX?
Your IBEX can be made full or mid-height out of the box. It can be changed at any time. Changing the height is simple and takes only a few minutes.
Is the Kuat IBEX compatible with tonneau covers?
Yes, the IBEX is compatible with some specific tonneau covers and only ones that are retractable and have T-Channels, such as Retrax, EGR RollTrac, and UltraGroove. For these covers, a Kuat-branded adapter is required to use with the IBEX. See our IBEX Accessories page for more information.
What is the weight capacity of the IBEX?
The IBEX has a static weight capacity of 1,200 lbs and a dynamic weight capacity of 300 lbs.
I see that you can mount the Piston SR Bike Rack to the IBEX using the Piston SR Mounts. Can I install other bike racks on the IBEX?
We are unaware of other brands' compatibility with the IBEX. We recommend the Kuat Piston SR Mounts since we have tested this configuration and will cover it under our No Worries Limited Warranty.
Can I use my own accessories?
Absolutely. Kuat offers several different accessories of our own. However, you can add just about anything you want as long as it’s within weight limits. Use our t-nuts with any m8x1.25 bolt.
