Description

Crafted from a custom-shaped aluminum housing, each light bar bolts seamlessly to the right and left side of the top tray. The cables are neatly stored in the center beam of the Piston ION. Four included magnetic clips make cable routing clean and simple. 

It connects via a standard 4-flat trailer plug and runs on a 12V system. Bright, bold, and ready for the road ahead (or behind).

Does the ION come with lights?

No. The Piston ION bike rack does not come with lights, but you can purchase them separately as an accessory.
Does the ION Light Kit come with everything I need to get the lights connected to my vehicle?

Yes. You will have everything you need to connect the ION Light Kit to your vehicle. If you have any trouble or questions during installation, we have a great Assembly Video to assist you, or you can always contact our Customer Service team for additional guidance.

I see that the ION License Plate Mount does not come lit out of the box. If I purchase this ION Light Kit, will it light the License Plate Mount?

Yes, by installing this Light Kit, if you have the License Plate Mount already installed on your ION, it will now be able to be lit.
Does the law require that my bike rack have operating lights connected to my vehicle?

In some regions (but not all), the law requires that bike racks attached to vehicles have working lights, such as tail lights and turn signals, connected to the vehicle's lighting system. This ensures that the rack and the bikes are visible to other drivers, especially at night or in low visibility conditions.
